Established in the early 70’s, Ernie’s was originally called Sye’s Bait Camp. Local legend has it that Ernie was a crusty old fisherman that inhabited the big white house on Christmas Point. In honor of his outstanding fishing ability and contribution to the Christmas bay fishing tradition, the joint was named after him in the late 90’s. You can still see a picture of him on the corner wall of the grill.
Soon to be a Christmas bay tradition, the big barn on the bay combines great food with cold drinks and lots of good fishing. Please enjoy a hot hamburger with an ice-cold beer while you fill your boat up with bait and fuel. Ernie will love you for it!!!
